Project brief

We developed a comprehensive Business Intelligence platform for The LEGO Group that automatically gathers, cleanses, enhances, and analyses e-commerce data from Google Universal Analytics and Google Analytics 4. Our solution provides the client with comprehensive, standardized data securely and without the risk of sensitive information leakage. This dramatically improved transparency and empowered managers to make informed strategic decisions based on accurate and reliable information.

Our approach

The LEGO Group's partners initially supplied data in varied formats and time intervals, complicating data analysis and processing. To address this, we designed a platform that ensures standardized data sharing without requiring the client (managers from The LEGO Group) or its partners (toy retailers) to process the data manually.

Execution

We prioritized maximum security and seamless automation. To achieve this, our team developed robust algorithms for secure, standardized data transfer. The biggest challenge was dealing with the varying formats and granularity of data from different partners. We addressed this by creating a custom validation and conversion system, which transforms the data into a uniform format, allowing partners to share it directly without further editing.

Outcome and benefits

Beyond saving time, our system ensures unparalleled security and earns the trust of both parties. Partners can share only the selected sales data (e.g., sales of LEGO® products) without risking information leaks about other products. On the other hand, the automated process guarantees The LEGO Group that their partners have not tampered with the data in any way.

Post-deployment, LEGO BI platform managers have immediate access to standardized data, eliminating the need to sift through and convert it manually. This automation has saved the equivalent of one full-time employee's time and reduced external agency costs.

The platform now integrates e-commerce data from over 50 significant e-shops and marketplaces worldwide, saving the client approximately CZK 300,000 monthly. Each connected partner alone saves approximately CZK 32,000 per month, bringing the total monthly savings to around CZK 1,900,000.
